My Lucky Charms

My Lucky Charms
Paper Mixing Bowl Recipe Challenge

There are times I make a layout, and when I am done, I am not in love with it. This is one of those times. I just wasn't feeling the challenge, I had a vision of what I wanted but it didn't turn out. This was for the Paper Mixing Bowls March Recipe Challenge.

Anyway, here is how to make this layout.
I took a piece of paper that already had the edging I wanted, then I traced it onto the green patterned paper and cut it out. Then I inked the edges with dark brown ink.

I adhered it to the chocolate polka dot paper, then added lace. The lace is by Recollections, and it's self adhesive, which makes life easy.

I happened to have scrabble tiles that were the maroon color of corned beef. My husband got them for me from a garage sale box, while he was at work.

The pictures I chose were from St. Patty's Day last year. We took the kids to the parade and they got all dressed up for the occasion.

For the flowers, all I had was red flowers, but the red didn't match, so I found a stain marker, and darkened the red so that it would match the scrabble tiles.

Fairly simple layout, but it caused me a couple sleepless nights and I still ended up, not loving it.
I am servely disappointed by this layout, but what can you do. Sometimes, that is what happens, hopefully someday soon I will think of something to fix it and make it better.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
